From 22–25 July 2025, MAGNIFIC project researchers : Marco Miniaci, Jouni Ahopelto, Gloria Conte, Bahram Djfari-Rouhami, Omid Ranjbar, and Hicham Mangach shared the latest project results at META 2025 in Malaga, Spain.

META, the international conference on Metamaterials, Photonic Crystals, and Plasmonics, brings together leading experts from around the world to present advances in metamaterials, nanophotonics, and emerging technologies.

This year’s programme explored cutting-edge topics such as machine learning for metasurface design, sustainable materials, biomedical imaging, and advanced crystal growth.

We are particularly proud that MAGNIFIC Project Coordinator Marco Miniaci received the Best Session Organizer Award, recognising his outstanding contribution to the scientific programme and his dedication to fostering collaboration within the metamaterials community.
