Researchers Gloria Conte, Yan Pennek, Jouni Ahopelto, and Charles Croenne represented the Magnific project at the 7th International Conference on Phononic Crystals/Metamaterials, Phonon Transport, and Topological Phononics, held from June 9–13, 2025 in Seoul, South Korea, and hosted by Seoul National University at the Olympic Parktel.

The event gathered leading experts to exchange breakthroughs in phononic materials, nanoscale transport, AI in phononics, and more — spanning nine core research themes from topological acoustics to applied phononics.

A special congratulations to Gloria Conte for winning the Best Poster Award — a recognition of outstanding research and innovation!

It was a week full of inspiring ideas, global collaboration, and cutting-edge science — a real highlight for the phononics community.
